The challenge

At Workato, automations are called recipes. Recipes typically require continuous testing as they are built. While a manual testing feature already existed, we saw an opportunity to build an automation for the testing process.

Automated tests are a common practice in the engineering world. I had to create an analogous experience in a low-code / no-code environment.

My role

As a lead designer on this project I was responsible for designing initial concepts and prototypes. I worked with a PM to define the experience, provided an outline for the research study and participated in the interviews. I utilized our community forum to gather insights. Over a five month period we designed and delivered an MVP concept.

Full details are coming. Below are some screenshots of various states and iterations. Please check back soon.

I am currently applying for Product designer or UX designer roles. Please feel free to send me any remote, hybrid or Chicago based opportunities.

I am planning to write more about my thought process and everything we had to accomplish for a successful Phase 1 (MVP)
